At Environment Committee meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, you will hear reports from the cemetery manager, the tree warden and the street wardens in relation to their areas of expertise. Decisions on use of the agreed environment budget are made by this committee, which also monitors the condition of council assets regularly against a rolling maintenance schedule covering the cemetery, council-owned open spaces, trees, street furniture and signage around the town.
This committee works closely with Clare in Bloom to deliver the much-admired Dressing the Town scheme which sees colourful hanging baskets and floral displays throughout Clare in the summer months.
