Cemetery

 

There are number of regulations and procedures that govern the use of the cemetery. Details are contained in the following documents (all in PDF format):

There is a non-denominational chapel in the grounds.  When lighting and furniture has been installed, it will be available for hire.  A traditional hand-drawn hearse is also available.

All bookings, enquiries and comments regarding the Cemetery, including visits in the company of the Cemetery Officer,  should be directed to:

Maintenance of the cemetery is carried out by contractors working to a schedule agreed with Clare Town Council.  Comments should be passed on to either of the Cemetery Administrators.

The fruit trees planted on 31 January 2017 as part of the Scattered Orchards project are, from east to west:

St Edmund's Russet apple
 St Edmund’s Russet Apple  Lord Hindlip Apple Doyenne de Comice Pear Lady Henniker Apple

Lord Hindlip Apple

All of these will be ready in October, except for the Russet which is ready a month earlier.

The Russet & the Lady Henniker are Suffolk varieties.
