Council Matters

 

Clare Town Council has a number of functions for which it is entitled to levy a rate.  It conducts its business through a monthly Town Council meeting, held on the third Thursday of every month (with the exception of August this year).  The Environment Committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month and manages specific areas of the council’s work, such as the cemetery, grass-cutting and tree maintenance.  Committees and working parties make recommendations to the full Council.  All committee meetings are open to the public.  You can view all the 2017 meeting dates here.  Agendas and minutes are available on this page, as well as a list of Environment Committee members.  Guidance for parishioners who wish to speak at a council meeting may be found here – an extract from our Standing Orders.
